All classes take place from 9:30 AM - 11:30 AM at NOD Theater unless otherwise noted
No need to sign up in advance, just show up as you are! The studio will be available 15 minutes before class time.
Unless otherwise noted, all classes take place at NOD Theater (1612 12th Ave, Seattle WA).
There is free 2-hour parking in the neighborhood to the north and east and plenty of paid 4-hour spots on 11th Ave by Cal Anderson Park. The studio is about an 8 minute walk from the Capitol Hill Light Rail Station.
We operate using a tiered pricing system:
Class cost is $20
Reduced rate is $10, if our full rate doesn't feel sustainable right now
Pay-it-forward is $25 (or more!)
If you're someone who has historically been left out of traditional ballet spaces, we offer a sliding scale of $1-5
If you ever feel that cost or inclusion is an issue, please reach out to us at any time.
You can pay via Venmo to @balletrituals or with cash. We really appreciate you paying on the day of class but if you forget, please be sure to include the class date in your payment on Venmo.
Our current class offerings expect a familiarity with ballet vocabulary and movement pathways, as we often include steps and sequences from the ballet lexicon without taking the time to explain them or break them down.
We recommend our classes to folks that have a regular movement practice, some prior experience in ballet classes (even if it has been a long time!), and are comfortable making decisions to keep their bodies safe. Many of our class takers are adult emerging or professional dancers. That said, we always do our best to support and include whoever is in the room.
If you’re looking for a true beginner-friendly ballet class, we recommend our friend Kaitlin McCathy, who teaches on Sundays from 10:30-12.
